Plain Language, Always
Legal documents exist to protect people — not confuse them. We explain every clause until you understand what you signed and why you signed it. If we can't explain it without jargon, we're not done thinking about it.
We started The Calloway Firm because too many people in the CSRA were putting off the legal work that matters — wills, business formation, family planning — for one reason: they couldn't find a lawyer they could afford to call. So we built one.
For years, we watched the same conversations happen in the Central Savannah River Area. A neighbor would put off estate planning for a decade because every firm they called felt cold and expensive. A small business owner would lose sleep wondering if their LLC paperwork was filed correctly — and dread the bill that would come from asking.
Legal services in the CSRA had drifted toward two extremes: the big firm with hourly rates that scared people away, or the bargain template mill that left them with documents nobody had actually read.
We thought there was a third way. A boutique firm where pricing is posted before you sign anything. Where your attorney gives you their cell number at intake. Where the goal is to get ahead of problems, not generate billable hours after one shows up.
That's the firm we built. We serve families and small business owners across Augusta, Evans, Martinez, Aiken, and the surrounding CSRA — straddling the Georgia and South Carolina line because, frankly, our clients' lives do too.
I started this firm after years inside larger practices, watching good clients get billed in six-minute increments for questions that deserved a straight ten-minute answer. There's nothing inherently complicated about a well-drafted will, a properly formed LLC, or a clearly-explained custody process — but the industry has made it feel that way.
My approach is simple. We quote a flat fee before any engagement. We explain every clause until you understand what you signed and why. And when you call, you reach me — not a paralegal queue.

The best legal work happens before something goes wrong. We push clients toward planning, not reacting — because a will drafted at the kitchen table costs a fraction of probate litigation, and a properly-structured business never has to unwind a mess.
We don't expect you to trust us because we passed the bar. We earn it — by showing up consistently, returning the call, treating every file like it matters, and making sure the invoice never holds a surprise.
