How working with us actually goes.

No mystery, no runaround. Four steps from your first call to a closed file — with a real attorney on the line at every one of them.

01

Free Intake Call

Fifteen to thirty minutes on the phone. You describe the situation, we tell you what's actually involved and what it will cost. No charge, no obligation.

02

Flat-Fee Engagement

If we're a fit, you get a one-page engagement letter with the total fee written in plain English. You sign once and that number doesn't move.

03

Drafting & Review

We draft the documents, walk you through every meaningful clause, and answer your questions until you can explain back to us what you signed and why.

04

Signed, Filed, Yours

We handle execution, recording, and notice — and you leave with a copy of everything plus a cell number you can call when life changes.

What we won't do.

A short list — but the part of our practice we're most particular about.

Bill in six-minute increments.

Most of our work is flat-fee. When something genuinely needs an hourly arrangement, we tell you why and we cap it in writing.

Say "it depends" and leave it there.

It does depend — on a handful of specific facts. We'll tell you which ones and what each answer changes.

Make you chase us for an update.

Every client gets a direct cell number at intake. You'll hear back the same day. Usually within the hour.

Questions, answered straight.

The ones people actually call to ask — pricing, process, and what it really looks like to work with a firm like ours.

How does flat-fee pricing actually work?

Before you engage us, you'll get a written quote for the full piece of work — not an estimate, not a "starting at" number. That fee includes drafting, revisions, the signing meeting, and recording or filing where applicable. If something genuinely outside the scope comes up (say, a contested probate caveat instead of a simple will), we'll tell you before we do any of it.

Why are you licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina?

Because the CSRA straddles the state line and your family's affairs usually do too. A property in North Augusta, a business registered in Augusta, a parent moving across the river — these don't have to be handled by two separate firms. We're admitted to practice in both states, which means one engagement, one fee, one attorney who knows both sides of the bridge.

How quickly will I hear back from you?

Same business day. Every client gets your attorney's cell number at intake — not a paralegal, not a receptionist, not a general inbox. If we're in a hearing or signing meeting when you call, we'll text you back within the hour with a real time we can talk.

I've been putting off estate planning for years. Is this going to be a long process?

For most families, no — a will, durable powers of attorney, and an advance directive take one intake call, one drafting cycle, and one signing meeting. Two to three weeks, start to finish. A trust adds a step. We tell you the realistic timeline at the first call so you can plan around it.

Do you handle contested litigation?

Selectively. We take contested divorce, custody, and business disputes where we believe we can deliver a clearly better outcome than the alternative. Litigation can't be flat-fee priced honestly, so for these matters we scope the engagement in writing, cap the retainer, and update you on burn before every billing cycle.

What if I'm not sure which service I need?

Call us anyway. The free intake call is exactly for this — fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough for us to tell you whether you need an estate plan, an LLC, a contract review, or simply a conversation with your accountant first. We'd rather send you to the right professional than sell you the wrong product.

Free 15-minute consult

Talk to a lawyer before you actually need one.

The cheapest legal work is the work you do early. Tell us what's on your mind — we'll tell you whether it's something we handle, what it should cost, and what to do next. No invoice, no pressure.
